In 1988 and 1992 we imported several pigeons from Robert Vanrobaeys. “’t Angoulèmerke” and “nestzuster ‘t Angoulèmerke” are in  the origin of more than 50% of our pigeons.

In 1998, we bought a daughter of the 1^st international Barcelona  1995 of the Gijselbrecht-family ( Knesselare-Belgium ). “Laureaat 94 duivin” was mother of 3 pigeons that won 4 prices  out of the 8 we needed to become 1^st General Champion of Belgium KBDB 2003.

In 1999, out of the same line, a daughter of “Turbo” ( half-brother  1^st international Barcelona and he himself 3 times top out of Barcelona) came to Adegem. “Turbo-Bijou” is even more important than
“Laureaat 94 duivin”.

Both Gijselbrecht  pigeons were a mix of Vanbruane and
A.& L. Vanderwegen.

In 1999, we bought “De Marseille”, a son of the 1^st National
Marseille 1997 of Frans Waerniers ( Knesselare-Belgium).
But especially his mother, a direct Ludo Claessens-pigeon and granddaughter of “Blauwwitpen 63 (basic Claessens) and named
“Super Ludo duivin” is important. Crossing with our own strain was succesfull on races of 400-700 km. (Thanks to Claessens ???).

Also in 1999, 4 pigeons of Louis Van Loon (Poppel-Belgium) came to Adegem.

Two of them, “Blauwen Van Loon” and “Van Loon 492 duivin”, are becoming more and more famous.

In 2000 we were looking for extremely long distance pigeons to cross with our own and they said to us: “To become the best extremely long distance pigeons, you have to go to Holland”. We looked around and chose a loft with an own inbred strain (Aarden based) and in the same west-line as were we lived: Wim Muller & sons (Wilhelminadorp-Netherlands).
The pigeons did well and in 2002 we went back to our Dutch friends.

Another thing, old fanciers said to us: look in your own neighbourhood and there we saw among our direct opponents Robert Buysse (1^st national Barcelona, 1^st  European Ace pigeon extreme long distance…..) and Roger Meyvaert (1^st Ace pigeon of Belgium KBDB long distance). Top of Europe and only 15 km. from us, in Ertvelde. We took the right decision because very soon we expect two new lines could be born.

However, our most important line is still our own line.
That line was formed in the eighties and had “Bonten Vincke” (a grandson of “Derby” of 1983) as pater familias.
